As a registered nurse with more than 23 years of clinical experience in home-visit nursing and care services, I believe that the experience of travel greatly improves the quality of people’s lives. Throughout my career, I have assisted many people with their daily outings and trips. I wanted to offer that same assistance, including medical support, to all those who love to travel or wish to travel to Japan — and so Joyful Journey was born.
Whether you use a wheelchair, have a medical condition that needs monitoring, or just feel more comfortable having professional support nearby, our team of Japan-licensed registered nurses can accompany you throughout your stay. Daytime Support (7:00 AM – 11:00 PM)

Licensed nurse companion during daytime hours
Nighttime Support (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Hourly rate for overnight nursing support
Overnight Flat Rate (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Frequently Asked Questions
Before your trip, you’ll have online video meetings with the actual nurse who will accompany you in Japan. This lets us understand exactly what support you need — including any medical requirements — so everything is prepared before you arrive.
No — you’ll need to book a separate room for your nurse. If you require 24-hour assistance, we’ll arrange a room as close to yours as possible. If you don’t need help during the night, your nurse may stay at a nearby hotel instead. Emergency support is available 24 hours regardless.
Yes. We carry professional liability insurance for our medical staff as well as insurance to protect our customers.
You can cancel your Joyful Journey reservation at any time. Any separate bookings you’ve made for tours, hotels, or transportation are subject to those vendors’ own cancellation policies.
