How much walking is involved?
This is a moderate walking tour covering approximately 2–2.5 km (1.2–1.5 miles) over the 3.5-hour experience. You’ll stroll through historic neighborhoods, cross some uneven cobblestone areas, and navigate narrow alleyways. Most of the evening is spent in sake stops and dining locations. If you have concerns about your ability to walk this distance, please let us know before booking.
What is the cancellation or late arrival policy?
Please arrive by 4:15 PM to check in. The tour departs at 4:30 PM sharp. We allow a 5-minute grace period—if you arrive by 4:35 PM, you can join the tour. If you arrive after 4:35 PM, the tour will have departed and you cannot join. No refunds are issued for missed tours. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to fees. Please contact us immediately if you’re running late.
When does this tour run?
The Luxury Kyoto Evening Sake Experience operates Tuesday through Saturday, 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM. Tours may be subject to seasonal adjustments or public holidays. Check availability and book your preferred date on our booking page.
Why is this tour for ages 20 and up?
This tour features sake and alcohol tastings throughout the evening, which is why participation is limited to guests 20 years or older in accordance with Japanese law. A valid ID may be requested at the beginning of the tour to confirm age eligibility.
