The menu showcases regional ingredients including Tottori wagyu beef, crab, and locally grown Sekigane wasabi, with breakfast also available. Guest rooms include pet-friendly accommodations specifically designed for travelers with dogs, featuring private dog runs attached to select rooms and access to a larger shared dog run facility.
Bathing facilities include indoor and outdoor hot spring baths fed by Sekigane Onsen, a natural spring known locally as “white platinum water,” along with a sauna offering löyly experiences. The property’s rooftop features a stargazing terrace called the “Star-Catching Terrace,” taking advantage of the hotel’s location within a designated star preservation area. Additional facilities include a gift shop featuring regional products and star-themed items, and an art gallery displaying works by local artists with disabilities. The South Building contains shared kitchen facilities suitable for training camps, group stays, and extended visits.

Accessibility
HOTEL Hoshitori Terrace Sekigane designates specific accessible accommodations in its North Building, which opened in 2025. The hotel offers accessible rooms in three categories: Universal Design rooms with barrier-free toilets measuring 30 square meters (rooms 303, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309), a Universal Design Special Room measuring 73 square meters with a natural hot spring bath (room 301), and dog-friendly rooms measuring 30 square meters (rooms 201, 202, 203, 204). All accessible rooms feature twin beds with semi-double mattresses. Room 301 includes a raised tatami platform positioned at wheelchair-transfer height, allowing guests to sleep on traditional Japanese tatami without requiring transfers to floor level, and this platform can accommodate Japanese futon bedding for up to three additional guests.
The accessible room bathrooms are configured with separate bathtub and shower areas, allowing guests to use the shower independently without entering the tub. Room 301 includes a natural source-fed hot spring bath within the room, with a mechanized shower chair equipped with lift functionality positioned beside the bathtub to enable wheelchair users to transfer into the bath. Room entry keys are positioned at 70 centimeters from the floor to facilitate access for wheelchair users. Bathroom facilities include L-shaped grab bars positioned near the toilet, electronic bidet toilets, and washbasins designed with open space underneath to allow wheelchair users to approach from the front. Bathing areas feature grab bars near the bathtub and shower zones, adjustable hand-held showerheads, and shower chairs with backrests.
The hotel’s communal bathing facilities include the large public bath, sauna, outdoor hot spring bath (which requires the ability to climb steps into thebath), and indoor bath. Entry thresholds are either level or measure five centimeters or less in height, with non-slip flooring installed throughout the bathing areas. For guests who prefer not to use the large communal baths, the hotel offers a private barrier-free hot spring bath fed by natural hot spring water, featuring traditional Japanese bathtub construction with the same mechanized shower chair and lift system available in room 301.
The second floor multipurpose restroom includes ostomate facilities and features a toilet with backrest support, L-shaped grab bars, and a washbasin with wheelchair clearance underneath. The hotel welcomes both service dogs and pet dogs, with designated toilet areas available in the nine dog-friendly rooms located in both the North and South Buildings. Staff provide water and food bowls for service animals and receive training on appropriate assistance for guests traveling with guide dogs. Hotel staff can guide guests with visual impairments to their rooms and to facilities including the restaurant and bathing areas.
Two guest rooms, specifically rooms 301 and 303, are equipped with visual fire alarm systems that provide emergency notifications through flashing lights. The front desk maintains communication boards and notepads to facilitate written communication with guests who are deaf or hard of hearing. The hotel operates an accessible shuttle service with a rear-entry wheelchair ramp, requiring advance reservation for transportation from nearby stations or airports.
The hotel restaurant accommodates dietary requests including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan meals when advance notice is provided, with the exception of peak occupancy periods. Communal areas including the lobby and corridors are maintained without strong artificial fragrances or aromatherapy scents. Staff members communicate in Japanese, English, and Chinese. The hotel notes that certain areas of its older South Building, specifically the first, fourth, and fifth floor guest rooms, present access challenges for guests using wheelchairs or mobility aids.
