Located just south of the Imperial Palace grounds, The Imperial Hotel Tokyo was established in the late 1880s to cater to the increasing number of Western visitors to Japan.
The hotel is located near the Tokyo International Forum and within walking distance of Otemachi, Marunouchi, Yurakucho, Ginza and numerous train and subway stations. The hotel has restaurants offering a variety of of cuisines including Japanese, Chinese, and French.

One Deluxe Twin Room is wheelchair accessible. Furniture is arranged to allow maximum mobility, switches have been placed at wheelchair height, and one of the two beds is a motorized medical bed.
The toilet has handles and a sturdy backrest and the hotel is one of the few hotels in Tokyo to offer a roll-in shower.
