The property has 91 non-smoking rooms, all equipped with full kitchens including IH stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, and cooking utensils. Room types accommodate four to six guests and include dining tables and enough space for families or groups who want to cook some of their own meals rather than eating out every time.
Room types include the Family Apartment, Loft Bed Apartment, One-Bedroom Japanese Apartment, Two-Bedroom Japanese Apartment, Two-Bedroom Family Suite, and several themed game rooms – including a Kids’ Board Game Room, All-Night Board Game Room, Werewolf/Murder Mystery Room, and Sky Terrace Board Game Room. The hotel sits on the edge of the Namba/Dotonbori/Shinsaibashi entertainment district, one of Osaka’s busiest areas for shopping and dining. Accessibility Features
MIMARU Osaka Namba Station is barrier-free throughout its main areas. The entrance has automatic doors (width: 128 cm) with step-free access on a flat approach. The lobby has two table options- a large table (height: 72 cm, 90 by 239 cm) and a smaller round table (height: 73 cm, diameter: 90 cm) – with seating at 42 cm seat height. The front desk counter is at 110 cm. Written communication is available for guests who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Three elevators serve the building, one on the first floor and two on the second. One has a wheelchair-accessible control panel. The elevator car measures over 140 by 140 cm with a 90 cm door opening and a capacity of 11 people. The second-floor elevator lobby is over 254 by 370 cm, giving plenty of room for a wheelchair to turn around. A multifunctional restroom on the second floor includes handrails, an ostomy-compatible toilet, a diaper changing table, a baby chair, and a hand dryer.
The coin laundry room is also on the second floor with six top-loading washers (loading door height: 100 cm) and six dryers (loading door height: 165 cm). Detergent dispenses automatically, multilingual signage is posted, and staff can help if needed.
The Accessible Family Apartment is 35m² with two single beds and one bunk bed, sleeping up to four guests. The room entrance has a swinging door (width: 87 cm) with just a 0.5 cm step at the threshold – essentially flat. Inside, the room is carpeted with a flat, even surface. The layout includes a seating area with a low chair and armchair, a wall-mounted TV, and a kitchenette with IH stove, full-size fridge, and dining area.
The single beds measure 200 by 100 cm with a mattress height of 40 cm. They sit together with no gap between them, while bedside clearance runs 100 to 250 cm – more than enough space for a wheelchair alongside. Clearance under the bed accommodates a portable floor hoist (10 cm or more, including with leg extenders).
The bathroom has both a bathtub and a separate shower area in the same wet room, so you can shower without getting into the tub. The entrance is step-free and wide enough for a wheelchair. Grab bars are installed around the shower and bath area, and the toilet has a grab bar on one side. The bathtub is 51 cm high with a depth of 44 cm. A height-adjustable hand shower reaches from 80 cm at its lowest to 165 cm at its highest. The washbasin has knee clearance underneath for wheelchair access.
Freestanding handrails, shower chairs, and bath grips are available as free rentals, subject to availability.
Guide dog accommodation is available, and can escort visually impaired guests to their rooms when possible. The hotel has created a barrier-free guide covering accessible sightseeing and transportation for the surrounding area. They also provide a communication sheet at check-in that lists available equipment and services, so guests can indicate what they need.
An accessible route map from Nankai Namba Station is available, with step-by-step directions including elevator locations and accessible pathways.
