HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU, A PARKROYAL Hotel, occupies floors 18 and 20 to 38 of the TOKYU KABUKICHO TOWER in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The hotel has 538 guest rooms designed in a mid-century modern style that draws on the surrounding Kabukicho entertainment district.
The 538 guest rooms include a range of types from standard twins and kings through to suites, as well as an Accessible Twin room. All rooms are fitted with flat-screen TVs (43–73 inches), Bluetooth speakers, high-pressure rain shower booths, blackout curtains, and France Bed high-density continuous spring mattresses.
Three dining venues sit on the 17th floor. JAM17 DINING is an Italian-style restaurant with 132 seats, serving lunch (11:30am–2:00pm), tea time (2:00pm–5:00pm), and dinner (5:00pm–10:00pm), with a private dining room for up to 14 guests. JAM17 BAR has 11 seats plus standing space and is open from 5:00pm to 2:00am. JAM17 GELATERIA serves gelato from 10:00am to 10:00pm. The restaurant accommodates gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan dietary needs, and the kitchen can work with specific allergies when given advance notice.
Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, Wi-Fi, a coin laundry room, a hotel shop called THE GROOVE STORE, and event spaces with rooftop terraces. Check-in is at 3:00pm and check-out at 11:00am.
The hotel is a one-minute walk from Seibu Shinjuku Station, six minutes from Shinjuku West Exit Station on the Toei Oedo Line, and seven minutes from JR Shinjuku Station. Shinjuku Sanchome Station on the Marunouchi, Fukutoshin, and Toei Shinjuku lines is eight minutes on foot. Staff speak English, Chinese, and Korean, with some staff also able to assist in Vietnamese, Myanmar, Spanish, and Tagalog.

HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU is barrier-free throughout its main facilities, with step-free access to the entrance, lobby, elevators, restaurants, and event spaces.
The hotel offers an Accessible Twin room. At 37m², it is one of the larger room types in the hotel, with two 122cm × 203cm beds. The bed height is 52cm from the floor to the top of the mattress. The room has a wide layout with clear space around both beds and wheelchair turning room near the bathroom entrance.
The bathroom is a fully barrier-free wet room with a roll-in shower. Entry to the bathroom is step-free. The shower area includes a grab bar on the wall, an adjustable-height hand shower that can be removed from its holder, and a fixed rain shower head overhead. Toiletries are placed on a shelf at a reachable height within the shower. A shower chair is available upon request.
The toilet has grab bars on both sides, including a swing-up type bar that can be folded away when not in use. The sink has an open-front vanity design with clearance underneath, allowing wheelchair users to pull up and use it from a seated position. The vanity counter sits at a comfortable height with a backlit mirror above it.
For guests who are deaf or hard of hearing, the hotel provides flashing fire alarms as loaner equipment upon request. Writing boards and memo pads are available at the front desk for written communication, and staff can also communicate via text input on tablets or smartphones.
For guests with visual impairments, staff are able to guide guests to their room and to hotel facilities such as the restaurant when possible.
Common areas such as the lobby and corridors are free of strong fragrances and aromatics. Room lighting in guest rooms can be partially adjusted.
