Sebastien shared some more accessibility information, this time from Shoin Shrine (http://shoin-jinja.jp/en/) in Hagi, Yamagata.
While the fine few steps may be an issue for wheelchair users, the path up is accessible.
Surprised to see hundreds of tiny umbrellas on trees near Shoin Shinto shrine! Fine with kids. Wheelchairs OK on the path (+ WC), just missing a small slope at the very end: 4 steps up to see and pray before the gods ⛩️ #JapanTravelHagi #AccessibleJapan #萩市 pic.twitter.com/YzS30hGZW2
