If you are looking for an accessible izakaya in Tokyo, try the izakaya chain restaurant, Hana no Mai, in Ryogoku right next to the Edo Tokyo Museum.

Not all of the seats are accessible but there are a number that are. You can get a huge variety of food (from Sumo wrestler’s chanko nabe stew to tempura) and alcoholic drinks. And, as you enjoy your evening of drinks, don’t worry, there is an accessible toilet!

Oh, and they have a sumo wring just for fun!
