Accessible beach in Yuigahama (Kamakura)

    Accessible beaches are finally starting to catch on here in Japan.

    Yuigahama Beach in Kamakura opens up restaurants and bars on the beach in July and August every year and have started to make the facilities accessible as well.

    There is a long pathway made from mats and planks that goes most of the beach, and up to the water in some areas.  A beach wheelchair is available on weekends.

    Some of the restaurants are accessible as well.

    There is also an accessible toilet.
